My Day Clock — Privacy Policy

My Day Clock ("the app") is a picture clock that helps a parent or guardian show a young child their daily schedule. This policy explains what the app collects, why, and how you can delete it. The app is set up and operated by a parent/guardian, not by a child.

What we collect

• Account: a username and password you choose. Passwords are stored only as a one-way cryptographic hash (bcrypt) — we never store or see your actual password.
• Schedule content you create: the child's name(s), event names and times, colors, and any photos you choose to upload for events.
• Approximate location (optional): if you tap "Use my location," the device's approximate location is used to look up local weather. You can instead type a ZIP code or city, and the app works fully without location access.

The app contains no advertising and no third-party analytics or tracking SDKs.

How we use it

Your information is used only to provide the app: to sign you in, store your child's schedule so it appears on your devices, and show local weather. We do not sell your data and do not share it for advertising.

Third-party services

To show weather, the app sends only a ZIP code or approximate coordinates (no account or child information) to Open-Meteo and Zippopotam.us.

Storage & security

Data is stored on a private server and transmitted over encrypted HTTPS connections. Passwords are hashed, and each account can only access its own data.

Children's data

Any information about a child (name, schedule, photos) is provided and controlled entirely by the parent or guardian who operates the account. We do not knowingly collect information directly from children, and the app does not show ads or use the data for any purpose other than running the app for you.

Deleting your account & data

You can permanently delete your account and all associated data (every kid, schedule, and photo) at any time:

• In the app: open Settings → Account → Delete account.
• On the web: visit the account deletion page.

Deletion is immediate and cannot be undone.
